MAY 14

Today, I went to PUSH.

I stood there and thanked God for giving me Modebare, for allowing me know such a delight. Then the worship leader sang and that's how the floodgates opened.

                                                                  E ba mi p’oruko re
Emi ni ti n’je emi ni

Olorunko nla
Emi ni ma se beru
Oloruko nla nla nla nla nla nla nla
Oyigiyigi yigiyigi k’abio o si
Oba to to to to to to
To k’ari aiye
Emi ni (3x) M’ase beru

You see, Mode liked turning around whenever she heard this song. She didn't know the exact lyrics bu she knew the oyigiyigi part. My darling turning around is all i could see.

Oh! ModebareOluwa, I do not know what to think. People here are asking me what i'm going to do? what am i going to do other than 'gba kadara' and Let God be God.

I am consoling myself Apeke mi, I can hear you saying in that sweet voice, 'sorry you hear'

Irebami assumed you were going to come back. When we were taking your body for burial, I asked her to give you one big hug. She just stood and looked at you. Yesterday she asked us if she can take a loaf of 'bread of heaven' to you. She specified Tuna Bread because you like Tuna bread. I told her you wont be needing us to bring you food but she insisted we deliver the bread using helicopter and a very long ladder.

Your sister misses you. Every moment! She went to school without you Yesterday, she still doesn't know what it means that you will not be coming back home.

I don't know how to console her. I don't even know hos to console myself.

But I love you. Modebare Nadya, my Hope, I love you, to the moon and back
